We like to think that we can welcome people of all ages and abilities to Spreacombe. Many of the families that come to stay have had members with different requirements ranging from marathon runners wanting to train to amputees coming to enjoy the area.
We hope that these pictures and text will give you a good idea of what to expect.
For more information please get in touch, we are always happy to answer questions or to take extra photographs or measurements to make sure that our properties suit your needs.
All of our properties are bungalows, so all are on a single level. However, we do not recommend them for full time wheelchair users as there are a couple of steps to get into the door, currently without grab rails.
I am happy to measure the steps for you if that would help, each bungalow has a slightly different height step due to the gradient of the site.
Parking is just by the door.
The single level nature of the properties has allowed us to have many guests with reduced or impaired mobility over the years, although we are not registered with accessibility accreditations.
It is easy to manoever from the lounge to the bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and bathroom with no steps once you are inside although the doorways are an issue for wheelchairs as they are reasonably narrow (711mm internal door).
Dogs are welcome in all bungalows except Clematis that is left dog free to accommodate allergy sufferers.
Every bungalow has a shower over the bath. There is a grab rail for shower users, seen in the photo.
We have well equipped galley kitchens with sink, cooker, microwave, toaster, kettle. The worktops are a fixed standard height.

All the properties have an external step, Azalea and Begonia are photographed below but please note that some properties have larger steps than others depending on their location on the site slope.

Equally Saunton Sands Beach are working to improve their accessibility. They have just added new tarmac to make it easier to get to the beach from the car park and the local beach shop has the rental of beach buggies designed for people with a limited mobility.
