Group Holidays at Spreacombe – Space, Nature and Quiet Connection

Planning a holiday with friends or family?

Spreacombe Gardens offers a peaceful setting for small group getaways.  With six self-catering cottages offering 20 bedrooms close together, plus open space, wildlife and woodland nearby, it’s a perfect place to reconnect, without the noise of larger resorts.  The old barn is a bonus indoor space.

Flexible Accommodation for Groups

Having 6 cottages, 20 bedrooms, we are well placed for group holidays,  creating a shared yet private living  that suits many kinds of gatherings.

Your multi-generational family stays will work perfectly here, and frequently do with our other guests.  Bedtimes and wake-up times, use of the kitchen and TV times all become a private small family decision whilst group meals can be taken together along with activities and days out.

Groups of friends spending time together often enjoy taking separate cottages, or we can host retreat-style breaks where the days unfold at an easy pace.

We also welcome outdoor and nature-led groups, from walking and photography to birdwatching and quiet exploration of the surrounding landscape.

Across the cottages we can accommodate up to 26 guests, subject to availability, offering space to come together as well as room to retreat.

Why Groups Love Spreacombe

There’s no pressure here, just space, scenery and the freedom to go at your own pace.

The cottage layout naturally supports both togetherness and independence, groups can, and do, pull the picnic tables together.

For large group bookings of three or more cottages you can talk to us about also renting The Old Barn.  The Old Barn    This is literally an old barn, just outside the entrance to Spreacombe Gardens ideal for large meals and meetings,  although no parties or late nights please.

Guests can share time outdoors, explore nearby footpaths and coastline, or head out for the day knowing there’s a calm, private base to return to. With separate cottages it is easy to have that blend of togetherness with independence, the best of both worlds.

With Woolacombe, Ilfracombe and the Tarka Trail all within easy reach, the setting is well placed for days out, while remaining removed from busy centres. There are no on-site entertainment facilities or communal venues — the emphasis is on space, landscape and a straightforward, low-key environment that suits groups who prefer flexibility over formality.

Outdoor Space for Gatherings

While each cottage has private outdoor space, there’s also shared green space.   This space could be your frisbee pitch, cricket pitch, garden boules ....the space is yours to share between the six cottages.

Meet for a picnic or coffee, watch wildlife at sunset, use garden seating for informal chats or stargazing - come to Spreacombe and the choices are yours,

We can advise on group-friendly dining options locally and suggest days out based on your group’s interests.
