Please see below some of the local provisions.

Access to Woolacombe Beach

Woolacombe Tourist Information have an All Terrain Mobility Tramper that is available for hire .  They currently have two routes availble for your use; one being through the sand dunes to enjoy the flora and fauna and spectacular views around Woolacombe Bay, the second being a route providing access onto Woolacombe beach as far as Mill Rock.

Please enquire at the T.I.C for full details. 01271 870553

Easy Acces Spots

The Marine Drive Carpark at Woolacombe proudly overlooks the beach and is a good viewpoint.

Outside of the school holidays this is rarely full and often supports people relaxing and watching the waves. The Carpark is actually a long disused road that traverses the length of the beach from above the dunes. Note, access to the beach from here is for able bodied only, the easy access is from the Parkin Estates Carpark.

Saunton Sands Disabled Access

Saunton has a Landeez All Terrain Wheelchair available to hire on a half day, full day or weekly basis. The wheelchair can be used in the shallows of the sea as well as on sand, making the beach fully accessible to those that with reduced or impaired mobility. It is suitable for adults and children. For bookings please contact Saunton Sands Beach Shop on (01271) 890771.

Saunton carpark also has specifcally allocated disabled parking spaces.
