Out with the old in with the new
Tree Planting Update.
We consider the start of the holiday season at Spreacombe to be Easter, although with the late Easter this year we have already had some guests enjoying this lovely early Spring - we even had ice cream after a walk at Saunton Beach in March - delicious if slightly odd having such a warm day in March.
Back at Spreacombe, perhaps this biggest change to report is the ongoing tree cycle - the big ash, admittedly hollow ash, that was in Mill Meadow fell recently. The men are now happily cutting firewood. On the more positive side, we have a planting programme for around 16,000 trees including winter flowering cherries and willows to produce cricket bats! The cherries are delicate at the minute so not photographing particularly well but are a lovely positive sight.
